CommuteAds Private Limited ("CommuteAds", "we", "us") runs an in-cab digital advertising network in Hyderabad. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect from advertisers and website visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
1. Data we collect
From advertisers and account holders
- Name, business name, email address, phone number and billing address
- GSTIN and other details needed for GST-compliant invoicing
- Login credentials and account activity on the dashboard
- Campaign details, ad creatives (videos and images) and targeting choices
- Payment records. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment partner; we do not store full card numbers.
From website visitors
- Device, browser and usage information such as pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools
- Anything you send us through forms or email
From cab passengers
Impression counts we report to advertisers are anonymous and aggregated; they never identify a passenger.
2. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account and run your campaigns
- To review creatives for quality and legal compliance
- To report impressions and campaign performance on your dashboard
- To bill you, issue GST invoices and process refunds
- To respond to questions and send service updates
- To send marketing emails, only where you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To prevent fraud, secure our platform and meet legal obligations
3. Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the platform, such as hosting, database, email and payment providers, under confidentiality obligations
- Government or law-enforcement authorities when required by law
- A buyer or successor if our business is merged or sold, under the same protections
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and, where enabled, Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used (pages visited and whether a form was submitted; never what you typed into it). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
5. Data storage and security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable cloud providers to protect your data. Some providers may store data outside India; where they do, we rely on safeguards permitted under Indian law. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password safe.
6. How long we keep data
We keep account and campaign data while your account is active. Billing and tax records are kept for the period required by Indian tax law (currently at least eight years). We delete or anonymise other data when it is no longer needed.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise your rights. Email connect@commuteads.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be notified by email or on the dashboard.
